Terms of Service

Last updated: February 12, 2026

These terms govern your use of Briefy (briefy.dev), operated by André Daniel ("we", "us", "our"). By using Briefy, you agree to these terms.

What Briefy Is

Briefy is a tool that guides you through a structured briefing process to generate a Website Blueprint — a strategic specification for your website.

Free flow: You can complete the briefing and receive your blueprint and an AI-ready prompt via email at no cost. The prompt is designed for use with third-party AI website builders (such as v0, Lovable, Bolt, and similar tools). We have no control over how those tools interpret or execute the prompt.

Paid build flow: You can use Briefy to build a website based on your blueprint. Briefy uses AI to generate website code, deploy a preview, and allow you to review and request changes. The blueprint is the specification; the output follows it.

The Service

  • The free briefing flow requires no account and is provided at no cost
  • The paid build flow requires an authenticated account (via Clerk) and is billed per run
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time
  • We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or uninterrupted access

Paid Build Terms

Billing Model

  • Every build run is paid using usage-based billing plus a fixed Briefy run fee
  • Every review run is also paid (no free or included review rounds)
  • Review rounds are unlimited as long as each run is paid and confirmed
  • Before each run, you will see an estimated total and a maximum cap
  • Your final charge will never exceed the approved cap
  • No subscription plans are required

Refund Policy

  • Eligible: A paid build or review run that fails and cannot be completed after our configured retry policy
  • Not eligible: Successful runs where you later request additional changes (those are new paid review runs)
  • Cap behavior: When the final charge is below the approved cap, only the final charge is captured — no refund is needed for the uncaptured remainder
  • Payment method: Refunds go to the original payment method via Stripe; no wallet-credit refunds
  • Timeline: Refund initiation within 1 business day after support confirmation; bank posting may take 5–10 business days

Your Content

When you complete a briefing, you provide information about your business, audience, and preferences ("Your Content"). You retain full ownership of Your Content.

By using Briefy, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Process Your Content to generate the blueprint and prompt
  • Include Your Content in the email we send you
  • Store Your Content in our database when you use the paid build flow (to execute builds and revisions)
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data about how the briefing flow is used to improve the product

We do not use Your Content to train AI models, sell to third parties, or for any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.

Output and Generated Code

Free Flow Output

The Website Blueprint and AI prompt generated by Briefy are yours to use however you wish. You may copy, modify, and distribute the generated prompt. We make no guarantees about results when using the prompt with third-party tools.

Paid Build Output

Generated website code is licensed to you for your use. Preview sites are deployed to briefy.dev subdomains. The blueprint is the specification; the generated output follows it.

We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy, or suitability of the generated output. The output is based on the information you provide. Better input leads to better output.

Intellectual Property

  • The Briefy name, logo, website design, and underlying code are our intellectual property
  • The briefing methodology, question structure, and prompt generation logic are our intellectual property
  • You may not copy, replicate, or reverse-engineer the briefing flow, prompt templates, or blueprint generation system for commercial purposes
  • You retain ownership of your content (descriptions, brand information, uploaded assets)
  • Generated website code is licensed to you for your use

Email Communications

If you provide your email address to receive your blueprint:

  • We will send you one email containing your blueprint and prompt
  • We may send you occasional product updates about Briefy (new features, etc.)
  • You can unsubscribe from future communications at any time by replying to any email or contacting us at hello@briefy.dev
  • We will never sell your email address or share it with third parties for marketing

Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Briefy to generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or abuse the service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the service at scale
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
  • Resell the service or offer it as your own product without our written permission

Limitation of Liability

Briefy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Briefy
  • We are not liable for the results produced by third-party AI tools using the prompts generated by Briefy
  • We are not responsible for any business decisions you make based on the blueprint or generated website
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific run in question
